Emir Ilgen, born in Izmir in 2003, started taking piano lessons in 9 Eylül State Conservatory in İzmir with Assistant Prof. Demet Eytemiz and today continues his study in Mimar Sinan State Conservatoire in İstanbul with his present teacher Zeynep Yamantürk.

Epta 2018 Belgium prize winner Emir Ilgen got 2nd prize of International Young Virtuosi in Young Talents Category, and will participate in the opening concert of EPTA Belgium 2020 February as the prize winner.

During the 19th Antalya Piano Festival, Emir got the 1st prize of International Young Talent Piano Competition in 15-19 age Category and in the festival he played Beethoven Piano Concerto No.3 , C Minor Op.37 with conductor Gürer Aykal.

He had his early competition experience in Germany, Baden Baden Clara Schumann Musik Schule where he got Assoluto 1st Prize in the International Piano Competition.

The preparations of of concert repertoire were under the supervision of the composer Ali Darmar and state artist pianist Ayşegül Sarıca.

In 2018-2019 Çev Sanat Young Talents Program chose Emir to give scholarship and also chose him to present Çev Sanat on Zorlu PSM stage in Çev Sanat young talents concert on 7 January 2019 sponsored by QNB Finansbank
